Award-winning writer and designer Gareth Damian Martin took moment at Story-Rich Showcase 2026 to announce that dice-driven narrative RPGs Citizen Sleeper and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will make their way to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25, 2026. Existing Switch owners can upgrade these titles for free.

For those who are not familiar with these titles that have been published by Fellow Traveller, both games use a tabletop RPG-inspired system centered on rolling and assigning dice each “cycle” (day) to tasks, social interactions, and risks. Higher rolls yield better outcomes, meaning it will be important to manage limited resources, stress, and consequences.

Citizen Sleeper 2 expanded the first game with ship command, multi-hub exploration, crew management (each with skills and abilities that risk stress), and focused contracts (high-risk missions like heists, salvage, surveys). It also included new classes with unique mechanics such as glitch dice and deeper stress/push-your-luck systems.

Switch 2 editions arrive with enhanced visuals, delivering 4K resolution and 60fps in docked mode.
