Tachyon Flow is a third-person parkour runner that is coming soon to PC via Steam, and is being developed and published by solo creator JankyAnims. Players control Kaia as she races through obstacle courses using freeform routes rather than following one prescribed path.
Kaia can wall-run, vault, slide, balance across beams, swing around poles and chain momentum-based flips and spins together. Each environment is designed to accommodate experimentation, giving you room to find your own lines through narrow corridors, large gaps and elevated structures.
The project began as a personal animation experiment, with JankyAnims hand-crafting its movement cycles before sharing footage online. Community interest encouraged the developer to expand it into a complete game, while frequent development updates introduced gymnastics-inspired spins, bar snags and revised swinging mechanics.
Movement is deliberately skill-based rather than heavily assisted. Speed must be built through momentum instead of a conventional sprint button, while tight turns, mistimed rolls and poor landings can interrupt Kaia’s flow. You are also responsible for timing rolls, tucks and slides instead of relying on automatic animations.
