AMATA Games has announced that Crescent Tower: RISING will be released for PC through Steam. A release date and price have not yet been confirmed.
Developed by Curry Croquette, the RPG follows 2025’s Crescent Tower while retaining its 8-bit presentation, dungeon exploration and turn-based combat. The follow-up expands the formula through five connected chapters featuring protagonists with different origins, races and classes whose stories eventually converge.
Character progression centres on 14 available classes and a new Skill Blocks system. Abilities learned through different classes can be arranged as blocks, giving players control over each character’s skill set and allowing parties to be tailored around different strategies.
Exploration also involves manually mapping the overworld and its dungeons. Filling in each map may reveal additional discoveries throughout the adventure, giving players another reason to investigate their surroundings carefully.
The story once again revolves around the Tower of the Arc Moon, an unconquered dungeon that appears in the Imperial Capital of Mayirdoam every 50 years. Rumours claim its summit holds both a wish-granting jewel and a potion of immortality, while a former adventurer’s Logbook of Bravery inspires a new expedition.
AMATA Games estimates that Crescent Tower: RISING will take between 15 and 25 hours to complete.
