Curve Games has signed a major publishing agreement with Wayfinder Studios for Wyldheart, describing the partnership as its largest investment in recent years. The deal gives the promising cooperative action RPG additional financial and publishing support following a remarkably successful crowdfunding campaign.

Wayfinder Studios was founded by former creative, technical and studio directors from DICE and Embark. Its debut project combines a persistent fantasy world with survival systems, traditional role-playing and flexible drop-in, drop-out cooperation. Players can explore alongside friends without requiring the entire group to be present for every session.

That approach has already found an audience. According to the announcement, Wyldheart has accumulated more than 375,000 Steam wishlists, 12 million organic views and over 6,000 Discord members. Its Kickstarter campaign raised approximately €248,000, giving Curve considerably more than an attractive pitch document to evaluate.

The partnership is part of Curve’s attempt to make larger investments in premium Triple-I and AA games following its acquisition by Nazara Technologies in May 2025. It also returns the publisher to cooperative fantasy RPGs after the success of its For the King series.

There is always a danger that publishing language turns early popularity into expectations no unfinished game can comfortably carry. Still, Wyldheart has demonstrated genuine interest unusually early, and Curve’s backing should give Wayfinder more room to turn that initial excitement into a sustainable game.

Wyldheart is currently planned to enter PC Early Access, with further details expected during the Triple-i Initiative showcase on October 8.
