March is starting off strong for indie games, with multiple releases coming our way just this month. We already got some new announcements, release dates and even rumors revolving around The Wolf Among Us 2. In any case, here’s what our today’s Daily Indie News Roundup brings.

Foulball Hangover Set to Release on Consoles in May

Foulball Hangover will release mining and automation sandbox game Hydroneer for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on May 8, exactly six years after its initial PC (Steam) release. Hydroneer became a tremendous sleeper hit among the crafting and basebuilding genres, selling over a million copies on Steam since launch. Subsequent overhauls and additions of new features, including couch cooperative multiplayer, grew the game’s presence into a persistent online fanbase.

Ballgame is a Golf-Inspired Physics Platformer Releasing on Steam in 2026

Human Computer, an independent game studio backed by Makers Fund, has revealed its debut title Ballgame, an all-new, golf-inspired physics platformer slated to launch on Steam for PC in 2026. In Ballgame, players step into the role as Dolf, a newly sentient golf ball smashing, bouncing, and grinding their way through high-stakes tournaments and physics-bending parlor games that are equal parts chaotic, merciless, and wildly satisfying. 

EvoCreo 2 Gets a Release Date, Launches on Steam in April

EvoCreo 2, the sequel to the mobile hit tactical monster-catching RPG with more than 2 million players from Ilmfinity Studios, cracks the case of disappearing adorable monsters on PC via Steam Monday, April 6, 2026. This time around, you’ll have to investigate the mysterious vanishing of creatures known as Creo across the land of Shoru as the newest cadet in the local police academy. Besides that, the sequel brings more than 300 species of Creo, each with Common, Rare, Crystal and Elite color variants.

STONEFEATHER Announced as Atmospheric Flying Adventure Built Around Freedom

ACGames, a small independent development team from Italy, has announced STONEFEATHER, an atmospheric flying adventure built around freedom, flow, and the quiet poetry of motion. Players take the role of a stone-born bird gliding across vast, silent ruins in a world where the wind has vanished, and only flight can bring it back. STONEFEATHER will launch on PC via Steam, and players can wishlist now to stay up to date with the latest development news.

Moonlight Peaks Will Release in July for PC, Nintendo and Google Play Games

Marvelous Europe confirmed that gothic life sim Moonlight Peaks, developed by Netherlands-based Little Chicken Game Company, will launch on 7 July 2026 across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Google Play Games, alongside the previously announced Windows PC version via Steam. In this supernatural life-sim, you set out to show your skeptical father that a life of compassion is possible, even for the undead. Your goal is to make friends with the other local creatures of the night and perhaps find eternal love in the mystical dating scene.

4X Strategy Game Old World Soon to Add Its 7th DLC Later This Month

Hooded Horse and Mohawk Games announced a brand new DLC for historical 4X strategy game Old World, titled Empires of the Indus. This add-on throws players into a turbulent world grappling with the rise of mighty dynasties and challenger states that shaped the region for centuries to come. It will release on March 30, 2026 via SteamGOG, and the Epic Games Store.

Ambitious Open-World and Survival Game AETHUS is Launching This Friday on Steam

AETHUS is a narrative-driven sci-fi survival-crafting and base-building game crafted solo by Alex Kane at Pawsmonaut Games, a former AAA dev who worked at Rockstar North, Build a Rocket Boy and Splash Damage. The game will be available as a complete, polished 1.0 release for €15.99 this Friday on Steam and there will be no Early Access period, no microtransactions, and no AI-generated content.

Chess Rougelike game Gambonanza is Set to Release in May

Studio BBB has officially revealed that its heartfelt puzzle-adventure MONOWAVE will launch in 2026 on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and other consoles. Nintendo has officially confirmed a new Indie World Showcase airing on March 3, 2026, at 6:00 AM PT or 3 PM CET, promising roughly 15 minutes of announcements and updates focused entirely on indie games coming to both the Nintendo Switch and the newly released Nintendo Switch 2.

NACON Connect Postponed Amid Financial Restructuring

Just days before it was set to air, NACON announced it was postponing its annual NACON Connect digital showcase, originally scheduled for March 4, 2026. Jason Scott on Myrient, the Internet Archive, and the Fight to Save Gaming History

On March 31, 2026, Myrient, a massive 390-terabyte repository of gaming data, will go offline. For many in the emulation and preservation communities, this isn’t just another website disappearing. It marks a turning point in how digital history is stored, shared, and protected. However, its content may not be lost, as enthusiasts have united under Project Minerva with the goal of preserving every piece of content available on Myrient.

Now, attention has shifted to what happens next. Preservationist Jason Scott Sadofsky, best known for his work with the Internet Archive and as a co-founder of Archive Team, has stepped in to engage with the Minerva’s community. Warner Bros. Discovery is rebuilding its video game pipeline

Warner Bros. Discovery said 2025 was a “significant” year for the company, but made little mention of its gaming sector beyond claims it is “rebuilding” its video game business in its most recent financial report to investors. After reporting strong performance from its movie and streaming segments, the company stated it was “rebuilding [its] video game pipeline” but did not provide any further details on that side of its business in its shareholder letter.

RUMOR: The Wolf Among Us 2 Will Apparently Release in 2027

A new rumor surfaced today claiming that The Wolf Among Us 2, the long-awaited episodic adventure sequel from Telltale Games set in the gritty Fables universe where players control Bigby Wolf as Fabletown’s sheriff, is targeting a 2027 release after yet another full development restart from scratch. According to an exclusive article by Press Over, an Argentinian gaming news site, the project, which has endured multiple reboots since its 2017 tease at San Diego Comic-Con, has been co-developed for several months with an unnamed Argentine studio, complete with Telltale staff visits to the country late last year.
