Indie developers Tarba Paul Cornel and Abdul Rafy have shared the first gameplay footage for Deadly Quiet, an asymmetrical cooperative horror game that tests friendships and survival instincts. The game is scheduled to be available on PC via Steam on April 15, 2025, immersing you in an eerie experience through a bodycam perspective.

In Deadly Quiet, up to four players embark on a weekend camping trip in the notorious Romanian forest of Hoia Baciu, known for its paranormal legends. After a car accident leaves the group stranded without cell phone reception and with night approaching, they must hike to the nearby city of Cluj. However, a malevolent presence lurks in the forest, drawn to sound, making silence critical.

Teamwork and communication are essential, but the game’s central twist – STAY QUIET – turns every word into a potential danger, as the forest reacts to sounds through a dynamic noise sensitivity system. Proximity chat adds a certain level of realism, allowing for natural communication, but loud noise can attract terrifying forest creatures, turning every conversation into a risky, high-stakes game.

Deadly Quiet offers multiple ways to confront the main threat, the Wendigo. You can team up with the monster, aid your teammates, or use tactics like electrocution, burning, or crucifixion to fight it. Strategic options are abundant, from setting traps to calling the police or escaping by car, giving you the freedom to outsmart your opponents.
