Independent developer Egobounds and publisher Alibi Games have announced an Easter surprise for their challenging platformer Egging On. For the first time, the game will be publicly available via a limited-time open playtest on Steam, which will run from Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM CET until Monday, April 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM CET. This event offers a chance to dive into the game’s unique physics-based mechanics.
The Easter playtest introduces a brand-new shell you can use to personalize your fragile egg-shaped hero, along with several other unlockable skins. As you roll, jump, and climb through dangerous environments like the chicken coop and beyond, you will be able to hunt for these shells and add a personal touch. The demanding game mechanics force you to master the physics of movement, requiring you to align jumps with rolling to reach new heights.
