The already well-known upcoming grand strategy and city-builder game Kaiserpunk has finally received a release date. Although the game was expected to be released in February, that date was moved to March 21st, of course, to avoid the big titles coming out at the end of the month. Additionally, Overseer Games revealed that they now have a publisher: Elda Entertainment, founded by Paradox Interactive veterans.

The game’s plot is set in an alternate history after World War I, where the goal is to build a city, drive industrialization, and establish an empire through conquering new territories or defending existing ones. Kaiserpunk offers more than 90 different buildings and production chains that need to be strategically utilized to dominate other empires. Besides resource management, the game requires caring for citizens, maintaining their morale, and developing the economy.

Although the focus is on construction and management, Kaiserpunk does not neglect military strategy. Growing empires pose a constant threat, forcing you into diplomatic agreements, alliances, or war to survive. This balance between economic development and military challenges is the main reason why the game has attracted a large number of players, offering an experience that will satisfy fans of both genres.

We also had the opportunity to visit their studio live and discuss the game, and you can find out more about that here. Kaiserpunk is expected to be available for PC via Steam.
