Hooded Horse has announced a new addition to its growing family of deep strategy and tactical games. Norland, from developer Long Jaunt, is a medieval kingdom simulation that aims to create complex, rich stories in a living world.

Players get to manage a noble family and face the challenges of a class-based society, which includes everything from crime to slave revolts, religious conflicts to economic crises, along with various personal feuds, betrayals, secret murders, and battles. Additionally, players will have to deal with neighboring kingdoms, handling issues of diplomacy, trade, disputes, alliances, and even the creation of vassal states.

“Partnering with Hooded Horse will allow us to focus solely on development. They have freed us from various non-development tasks like marketing, localization, trailer creation, and other responsibilities. With this support, we aim to deliver a game to players in May that is even more polished and rich in content,” said Dmitry Glaznev, game designer for Norland and head of Long Jaunt studio.

Norland is scheduled for release on PC via Steam Early Access in May 2024. You can read our interview with Dmitry here.
