Lies of P Sequel Confirmed After Record-High Sales

The acclaimed soulslike RPG Lies of P has achieved a new milestone with a record-high sales quarter, largely fueled by the launch of its Overture DLC. This success has cemented developer Neowiz as a major contender in the console and PC market, a significant departure from the company’s previous focus on mobile gaming.

According to Neowiz’s financial report, Overture DLC nearly doubled the game’s sales compared to its first year on the market. This led to an impressive 54% year-over-year increase in revenue from PC and consoles. The game’s total sales, exceeding 3 million units by June 2025, underscore the DLC’s positive reception.

Neowiz’s operating profit saw a notable increase, rising from approximately $32 million in 2023 to about $37.8 million in 2024. This financial growth, despite some non-operational losses, points directly to the substantial profitability of Lies of P.

The Overture DLC, a prequel to the main story, successfully re-engaged both new and existing players. Roughly a third of the size of the original game, the DLC expands the city of Krat with new areas and challenging bosses.

Neowiz has also confirmed a sequel is planned for release in Fiscal Year 2026 or later. This timeline provides the development team with an opportunity to refine the game’s formula and address feedback from the first installment.
