Okay, everyone, let’s talk. Seriously. Because I am so confused about how some of you are still defending the new Pokemon Legends Z-A. Look, I get it. If you like the game, that’s great. You’re allowed to enjoy things. But you have to be honest with yourself – what’s so fun about this game?
To me, this game looks rushed. It feels like slop. The graphics are just bad. I mean, we’re talking about a huge company, and the game looks rough. And it’s all stuck in just one city! That makes no sense for a “Legends” game that should be about big adventures.
And have you seen some of the dialogue? It’s like they used a cheap translation program. It sounds weird and clunky. I’ll give them credit for two things: the combat looks fun, and the character designs are cool. But seriously, is that enough to forgive everything else? I don’t think so.
This is where I get really frustrated. What happened to thinking critically? What happened to saying “I won’t buy this if it’s bad”? I see people getting so angry and insulting others just because they say the game looks bad. That’s a terrible way to act! We should be talking about this, not shutting each other down.
But the biggest problem is defending this massive, multi-billion dollar company when they are giving us the laziest work. We’re talking about buildings that look like simple photos (like JPGs) and are all the same! How can you stand up for that?
Doesn’t it feel like Pokemon Legends Z-A is mocking the Switch 2? Like they’re saying, “We don’t need good graphics for your new system”? Donkey Kong Bananza looks amazing, but this game looks like it’s stuck way back in the Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee days! It’s like they don’t respect the hardware. Plus, the game keeps holding your hand and treating you like you’re stupid.

Look, hating people is bad. But is Nintendo respecting you? They are selling you a 70€ game, and then they want to sell you the DLC right away, making the whole thing like 100€. How can you say the DLC is “not mandatory” when they announce it before the game even comes out and charge $30 more?
There’s a saying: “Just shut up and consume the product.” That’s where they want you, and it’s sad that people aren’t seeing the bigger picture. This is pure corporate greed! They don’t care about your feelings or your childhood memories. They want your MONEY, and you are giving it to them.
Think about this: if this game sells huge amounts, even though it looks rough, they’re going to realize they can keep giving us half-finished products. We’re telling them, “It’s okay to be lazy.”

Now, I know we can’t get everyone to see this. And that’s fine. First, you have the casual gamers who just want to sit down and relax. They don’t care about graphics or company decisions. They just want to play a game on their Switch 2. That’s totally fair.
The same goes for people who only play Pokemon. They don’t care how it looks or runs. They’re allowed to have fun their way. And let’s be real, you’re not going to convince parents to stop buying these games for their kids. A little kid doesn’t care about the cost or the rough textures; they just see a new Pokemon game.
So, while I know not everyone is mad, for those of us who care about quality and want companies to actually try hard, we need to speak up. We have to stop blindly defending everything they release. Because if we don’t, this is what we’re going to keep getting.
It’s baffling to scroll through social media and see the constant defense of this game. I have to ask: What is genuinely fun or modern about it? Strip away the brand name and company loyalty, what is the actual incentive to buy this product? Despite overwhelming evidence confirming its poor quality, many still claim it’s the best recent Pokémon game. That contradiction is impossible to ignore.
