Fans of relaxing farming games have a new adventure to look forward to. Sugardew Island, a farm and shop management simulation, is launching on March 7th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, with the Xbox Series X/S version following shortly after. For those who prefer physical editions, the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available starting March 14th.
Inspired by the beloved Harvest Moon games from the Nintendo DS era, Sugardew Island is a true dedication to the cozy gaming genre. Developed by a small indie team, it provides a peaceful and relaxing experience where you can enjoy running your own farm and shop on an idyllic island.
Your journey begins when a sudden storm shipwrecks you on an abandoned island. To restore balance and life to the island, you’ll need to collect Harmony by selling goods to cute forest sprites, restoring the land, and clearing the thorny vines that have spread across the island.
In Sugardew Island, you will run a farm, grow crops, and care for animals to produce goods for your shop. You will also gather resources like wood, stone, and weeds to upgrade your farm and complete the tasks set by the Harmony Tree. These quests help restore the island and bring back its vibrant nature. The game is intentionally simple and stress-free, providing a lighthearted experience where you can focus on enjoying farming, selling, and socializing with the adorable forest sprites.
