Just as we thought we might have a month off from new game releases, September proves us wrong. The month is packed with so many titles that you’ll have to be selective about what you play. In fact, we were tempted to expand this list even further, as it’s impossible to pick just a few of the best. Nevertheless, here are our top 12 indie games releasing in September.

Hirogami

Release Date: September 3, 2025

Hirogami is a 3D action platformer in which players control Hiro, a “folding master” from Shishiki village, who uses the art of origami to transform into animal forms: Armadillo (rolling through obstacles), Ape (traversing treetops), Frog (leaping heights), and more.
