Developer ChillyRoom plans to release version 1.0 of the wuxia RPG The World of Kungfu: Dragon and Eagle for PC via Steam and for Nintendo Switch on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Inspired by classic 90s RPGs, this title offers a unique adventure set in ancient China, filled with martial-arts action, emotional storytelling, and multiple possible endings.
The World of Kungfu: Dragon and Eagle allows players to create their own kung fu warrior and embark on a journey that combines intense battles, meaningful choices, and memorable characters. You’ll explore various martial arts techniques while navigating the conflict between rival clans, each with their own beliefs and values. Every decision shapes your path, leading to one of many different endings across the game’s branching narrative.
Combat features turn-based grid battles where strategy and skill are essential. You can master both internal and external kung fu techniques, using precise movements and powerful combos to overcome your opponents. For those who prefer a faster pace, an automatic battle system is also available. The story unfolds across numerous historically accurate Chinese locations, from snowy mountains and ancient ruins to bustling cities.
