After you finish Batography, you’ll probably wish it was a full-fledged game, but unfortunately, it only lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. Nevertheless, it is a short but charming adventure about a bat who loves photography. Additionally, you can unlock 12 achievements, which is a nice bonus for those who like to fully complete games.
In the game, you explore a sleepy, moonlit town filled with warm animal residents, each offering a unique puzzle. Some tasks involve proving that trash exists or capturing a wedding on camera. To solve them, you must take photographs and present the images as evidence. While helping the residents, you will run, climb, and glide through the environment.
Batography also features collectibles called Moon Cookies, which you reach by using creative movements, such as gliding, climbing poles, or using ground pressure for jumps. Beyond that, there isn’t much additional content, but its simple and charming nature makes up for it. The graphics are solid, the visuals are appealing, and the atmosphere is pleasantly relaxing.
This is a short and sweet experience that leaves a lasting impression despite its brevity. Since it is free-to-play, there is no risk in trying it, especially for those looking for a quick and pleasant adventure. Although the limited content and duration may leave you wanting more, the game successfully delivers a warm and cozy atmosphere in its short playtime.
