Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced a new, full-length story expansion for the hit game Cult of the Lamb. Titled Woolhaven, the DLC is set for an early 2026 release for PC and consoles, and will introduce a new narrative and gameplay content. The expansion is centered on the reawakening of Yngya, the forgotten God of the lambs, who has long been dormant beneath the snow of a mysterious mountain.

The new content picks up near the end of the base game, where players are tasked with rebuilding the titular town of Woolhaven. According to the game’s lore, as detailed on the Cult of the Lamb Wiki, Woolhaven’s fall was catastrophic, a result of a historical “purging” that left lambkind scattered and their god, Yngya, stripped of power.

Players must return lost souls to their spiritual home to restore Yngya and uncover the suppressed history of the lambs. This quest for restoration, however, is not without its moral ambiguity, as the game’s Steam page warns that there is “always a price to be paid.”

The expansion introduces new environmental challenges, including harsh blizzards and freezing temperatures that will threaten the cult’s survival. This adds new layers to the colony-sim aspect of the game, as players may need to construct winter-resistant structures and perform new rituals to keep their followers warm.

Players will also explore two new, vast dungeons filled with corrupted creatures and the “restless spirits” of the past. Beyond combat, the DLC also adds a new ranching system, allowing players to breed rare animals for resources like wool and meat.
