Rock It Games has expanded its retro sports lineup with the PC release of Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded II: Second Season and Jaleco Sports: Goal! Two, following the success of their Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 editions. Both collections are now available on Steam and GOG for €7.99, with a 20% launch discount running through July 7.
According to Rock It Games CEO Michael Devine, the company hopes PC players will enjoy both the preserved classics and the modern features added to the collections: “Retro and sports gaming fans have really taken to the Switch and PlayStation 5 versions of these retro sports series. We think that PC players will really appreciate the added features and classic gaming history we provide in each curated Jaleco game set.”
The collections introduce several quality-of-life additions, including a VHS-style rewind feature that lets players replay memorable moments, an optional CRT television filter for an authentic retro presentation and monthly online leaderboards that allow players to compete globally.
Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded II: Second Season includes five classic baseball games spanning the NES, Famicom, SNES, Super Famicom and Super Comboy, including the original Bases Loaded II: Second Season and Super Bases Loaded II. The series was notable for introducing player performance ratings that simulated hot streaks and slumps, adding a layer of strategic team management uncommon for sports games of its era.
Meanwhile, Jaleco Sports: Goal! Two bundles four soccer titles from the NES, Famicom and SNES generations. The collection includes regional versions of Goal! Two alongside Super Goal! 2, which expanded the series with side-scrolling gameplay, 24 international teams, instant replays and tactical formation options.
