A new gameplay trailer has offered another look at Cobra Strike, an upcoming retro-inspired helicopter action game that blends arcade-style aerial combat with tactical mission objectives. This single-player title puts players in command of iconic military helicopters while challenging them to complete high-risk operations across dynamic battlefields.

Rather than focusing solely on fast-paced action, Cobra Strike encourages players to carefully select the right aircraft for each mission. The roster includes helicopters such as the AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache, UH-1 Huey and Black Hawk, each featuring unique flight characteristics, weapon systems and battlefield roles. Players will have access to machine cannons, Hydra rockets, Hellfire missiles, Sidewinders and other military equipment depending on the helicopter they choose.

The game also incorporates inertia-based flight controls and resource management, requiring players to monitor fuel, ammunition and armor while carrying out objectives such as escorting allies, defending strategic positions, gathering intelligence and extracting personnel.

One of the newly revealed gameplay mechanics places greater emphasis on civilian safety. Certain missions allow you to evacuate civilians from designated landing zones, with successful rescues improving relations with local resistance groups. In return, those allies may provide valuable intelligence, hidden supplies or even combat assistance during future operations.

The developers also warn that reckless attacks can have lasting consequences. Damaging civilian areas or indiscriminately firing into populated locations may reduce mission ratings, weaken local support and negatively impact future operations, encouraging you to think carefully before opening fire.

You can wishlist the game on Steam.
