Considering that we first played Chaos on Wheels two years ago when it launched in Early Access, Croatian studio Acodeon has been hard at work to finally release the full 1.0 version on August 7 on PC via Steam. For those unfamiliar, this is an action title known for its explosive vehicular combat, very reminiscent of Twisted Metal.
In addition to driving various vehicles, you shoot at barriers and targets while gradually upgrading your cars and weapons. Our review may be a bit outdated, but what remains the same is that the game offers a single-player experience through the Chaos Career mode.
There, you can upgrade weapons, shields, and ammunition through the garage and use the multiplayer option with splitscreen support. Interestingly, you can also collect gadgets, power-ups, and other items to tackle different missions during gameplay.
What exactly awaits us in version 1.0 is something the developers will reveal later. However, one thing is certain: online multiplayer is coming, a feature promised since the beginning of development.
