Publisher Perp Games and Korean studio Project Cloud Games have confirmed that their dark fantasy action RPG The Relic: First Guardian will launch on May 26, 2026. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
It mixes Soulslike combat with a story inspired by Korean folklore and at the heart of the journey are the Brutals, a group of 70 powerful bosses that stand in the player’s way. Each Brutal is more than just a large enemy. Every one of them has its own sad past, which explains why it exists and why it guards its territory. Beating these foes takes patience and skill, as players must learn how to use weapons, magic, and special abilities in a way that fits their own play style.
Combat places a strong focus on stamina, meaning every attack, block, and dodge matters. When a Brutal is finally defeated, the main character, known as the Last Guardian, gains more than just a victory. The Guardian takes on the fallen enemy’s story and earns powerful items and upgrades that are needed to survive the harder areas that lie ahead.
Instead of relying only on experience points, players are pushed to search the world itself. Hidden across Arsiltus are fragments that unlock new skills, weapons, and armor. This makes exploration just as important as combat, turning every dungeon, path, and hidden corner into a chance to grow stronger.
