Just when we thought Fireshine Games couldn’t offer more impressive games, the publisher announced Duskfade, a new 3D action platformer inspired by genre classics, during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase. The game is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam in 2026. The first gameplay trailer revealed an enchanting clockpunk world full of mystery and dynamic platforming sequences.

The game’s story follows Zirian, a young apprentice who embarks on an adventure to repair broken time in a world enveloped by eternal darkness. Combining elements of combat and platforming, Duskfade features mechanics like jumping, sword fighting, and using ropes to traverse chasms, all within a distinctive visual style that merges retro-inspired aesthetics with modern design.

Through various biomes, from forests and underwater realms to sand dunes, you will uncover the secrets of a world shaped by clockwork masters. Sarah Hoeksma, Marketing Director at Fireshine, highlights how the development team Weird Beluga managed to combine nostalgia with an innovative approach: “Duskfade brings a lot of freshness, but at the same time, it has that authentic charm that will win the hearts of classic platformer fans.”
