Fading Echo, the upcoming elemental action-adventure RPG from publisher New Tales and developer Emeteria, is officially launching on July 21, 2026, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are scheduled to arrive later this year.

Developed by Emeteria, a newly established studio made up of industry veterans, Fading Echo marks the team’s debut project. Players assume the role of One, a young Legend blessed with the power of Æther, who embarks on a journey to stop a mysterious force known as the Paradox from tearing apart the multiverse.

A core gameplay mechanic revolves around manipulating water in its different forms. You can seamlessly switch between human and water blob forms while transforming water into liquid, vapor, or ice to solve puzzles, reshape the environment, and gain the upper hand in combat. Nearly every object in the world reacts dynamically to these elemental interactions, creating gameplay opportunities and environmental challenges driven by the game’s physics system.

Adding to its production values, Fading Echo features an impressive English voice cast that includes Laura Bailey, Matt Mercer, Samantha Béart, Liam O’Brien, Sam Riegel, and Jasmine Bhullar. The original soundtrack has been composed by Maxwell Sterling, aiming to complement the game’s fantasy world and emotional narrative.
