Publisher Devolver Digital and Skeleton Crew Studio, the development team behind Olija, have announced a new tactical kung fu game titled Forestrike. The game will be available on Switch and PC via Steam, although a release date has not yet been set.
In Forestrike, you play as Yu, a fighter on a mission to free the emperor from the clutches of an evil admiral. The game blends brains and fists as you solve combat puzzles using techniques from one of five unique masters. Each battle requires strategic thinking and repetition to master, as Yu faces numerous enemies and is often outnumbered.
Forestrike offers a unique gameplay mechanic that lets you experiment with Foresight before entering actual battles. Its roguelike structure ensures that each playthrough is different, requiring adaptation and improvisation. The game also promises intense kung fu encounters where you’ll face large groups of enemies, using customizable move sets to outsmart them.
