Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Odd Meter have announced that Indika will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 8th of this year.

Indika is a narrative and story-rich third-person adventure set in an alternate Russia of the late 19th century, where religious visions clash with harsh reality. INDIKA tells the story of a young nun who embarks on a journey of self-discovery with the most unusual companion by her side: the Devil himself.

Themes of faith and authority prevail throughout Indika’s journey, and she will face many questions along the way. Players will be tasked with guiding her through a series of challenges to uncover the answers before she finishes her life’s odyssey. Indika will primarily focus on puzzle-solving; there is no combat system as this is a linear story-focused adventure game. Specifically, 30% of the time you will be solving puzzles, 30% listening to dialogue, and 30% watching cutscenes.

In terms of gameplay, INDIKA seamlessly blends narrative with environmental puzzles and platformer elements, touching on themes rarely explored in video games. To see what you can expect from this game, check out the trailer below.
