Act Normal Games has announced that Rauniot, an isometric point-and-click adventure game, will be launched on April 17th for PC via Steam. Rauniot is a post-apocalyptic adventure full of intriguing puzzles whose story unfolds in the beautiful and detailed landscape of Northern Finland.

The game’s plot is set in 1975, a time when a devastating natural disaster pushed civilization over the edge. Unrest, mass conflicts, and wars destroyed the planet. Some continents were submerged by the seas, and severe pollution spread due to collapsed nuclear power plants and subsequent explosions. Children are born mutated or dead, often taking their mothers with them; fathers walk alone in bitterness and sorrow. In this dismal new world, nature and humanity struggle to survive and find balance.

Despite this, some individuals managed to build enough mutual trust to form groups that provide protection, food, clean water, medicine, electricity, and crucial knowledge. You play as Aino, one of the lucky few who are part of such a group. But in this merciless new world, movement won’t be easy. The only thing preventing you from complete isolation during these perilous journeys are cunning and determination.

Key features:

  • More than 70 beautifully detailed scenes
  • A seamless and intuitive control system
  • Diverse classic puzzles that vary in difficulty
  • The ability to solve puzzles in different ways and in different orders
  • A unique Finnish melancholic atmosphere
  • An informative notebook to track your adventure
  • Authentic Finnish voice acting.
