VGNYsoft and eastasiasoft have teamed up with Fat Pug Studio to release physical editions of the side-scrolling shooter Rick Henderson. These boxed versions are now available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles, just in time for the holiday season. Once these copies sell out, there are no plans to restock them.
Rick Henderson is a fast and flashy shooter inspired by classic 16-bit arcade games where players control one of three different ships and race through endless side-scrolling levels that change with each run. This setup keeps every play session new and unpredictable. Combat is driven by a large set of 27 weapons and battles against five enemy groups, each ending in intense boss fights.
For fans of physical releases, Rick Henderson is available in several editions. Standard versions for Switch and PlayStation include the game itself for those who simply want a boxed copy. For collectors, there are also Elite, Extra, and Extra Elite Editions.
The Extra Elite Edition is the most detailed option and includes several physical items, highlighted by the game’s soundtrack pressed on a 5-inch vinyl record. With multiple editions to choose from, fans can pick the version that best fits their love for this neon-filled arcade shooter.
