Just days after its September 10 Early Access launch, Star Birds, a relaxing asteroid base-building game, has earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam. As of September 15, the game has received 620 reviews, with a positive rating of 95%. It has also climbed the charts, ranking #1 in Hot Releases and #11 in Popular Releases on SteamDB.
To show their appreciation for the community’s support, developers Toukana and kurzgesagt have teamed up with other indie studios to offer special in-game content and bundles. Thanks to a collaboration with Square Glade Games, the creators of Outbound, players can now unlock a miniature Outbound van in the Star Birds main menu.
The Early Access phase of Star Birds marks the beginning of a close collaboration with its community. The developers have several content updates planned, which will bring new features, levels, and improvements on the road to the full 1.0 release. The team is targeting a full launch between six and twelve months after the early access release, giving you plenty to look forward to.
Additionally, Toukana has partnered with Mechanistry, the studio behind the hit building and automation game Timberborn, to release a discounted bundle for both titles on Steam.
