Hypnohead has announced a major sales milestone for its roguelite kingdom builder The King is Watching, which has now sold over 400,000 copies on Steam. Published by tinyBuild, the game stands out thanks to its clever core idea: players can only control their kingdom while they are watching it. The moment they look away, things quickly fall apart.

The game has seen strong success this year and continues to grow in popularity. It has earned more than 7,000 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam and reached a peak of 18,000 players online at the same time. During this period, Hypnohead also released the game’s biggest update so far, titled Volcano, which added new challenges and content. The success was further recognized when The King is Watching won Game of the Year at the Yugo Game Awards.

To celebrate this achievement, The King is Watching is currently available at a 35% discount on Steam, bringing the price down to 9.74 €. The offer gives new players a great chance to try the game and experience its tense and unusual take on kingdom management.
