The Triple-i Initiative is Set to Showcase “Blockbuster Indie Games” on April 10th

Indie developers have announced The Triple-i Initiative, a 45-minute showcase event featuring world premieres, exclusive gameplay, demonstrations, and rewards from some of the best independent game creators. It will take place on April 10th at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM CET. You will be able to watch it on YouTube, Twitch, Bilibili, IGN, and Steam.

The showcase will include “major announcements and reveals” for over 30 games from studios such as Evil Empire (Dead Cells), Mega Crit (Slay the Spire), Red Hook Studios (Darkest Dungeon), Heart Machine (Hyper Light Drifter), poncle (Vampire Survivors), and many others. They promise this will be a “compact digital presentation showcasing the latest hits, all lasting less than an hour to respect the time of both players and studios.”

“We noticed a need for a showcase that highlights indie games that are very different but have one thing in common: they win the hearts of millions of players around the world. Since using letters has become a trend in the industry, we concluded that adding the letter ‘i’ gives an indie showcase a special charm. Besides, triple-i just sounds cool,” said Berenger Dupre, Marketing Director at Evil Empire, in an official press release.

Benjamin Laulan, COO of Evil Empire, added: “Our goal is to have a show that is direct and to the point, filled with announcements from all the studios in the collective, and to communicate directly with the players—the people who have supported us from the beginning. The show will last around 45 minutes, with a focus on the most successful and important news. No host segments, no ads, no sponsorships, no unnecessary interruptions — just games.”
