Tides of Tomorrow Reveals Obin and Its Doomed Ocean World of Plastemia

French studio Digixart has introduced Obin, the ruthless and violent leader of the Marauders, in a new character reveal for the upcoming action-adventure game Tides of Tomorrow. The cinematic trailer teases high-stakes encounters where the innovative “Story-Link” system. This means that shared past choices across the community, could determine whether a player faces Obin’s wrath or finds an unlikely path to alliance.

Tides of Tomorrow drops players into the world of Elynd, an ocean planet tragically doomed centuries after “the Great Flood.” The world is ravaged by “Plastemia,” a lethal disease born from microplastic pollution that courses through both the blood of the survivors and the seas themselves.

You are awaken as amnesiac “Tidewalker” on makeshift boat, setting off on a desperate race to find a cure. You must navigate a dangerous world of floating platforms, ruined structures, and hostile factions. The game is being framed as an eco-thriller, drawing comparisons to the underwater exploration of Subnautica combined with the desperate survival narrative of The Last of Us.

Tides of Tomorrow is positioning itself as Digixart’s most ambitious project yet as development moves toward its launch on February 24, 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
