For those unfamiliar, Nintendo Treehouse: Live will host two events, or livestreams, scheduled for April 3 and 4, designed to showcase gameplay for upcoming games on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. Both presentations will follow the big Nintendo Direct dedicated to Switch 2, which will take place today, April 2, at 3:00 PM.

These livestreams will likely feature titles revealed during the Nintendo Direct. They will show details about game mechanics, controls, and graphical performance. Previous Treehouse events included commentary from developers or Nintendo team members, offering insight into game design and features. While not yet confirmed, this is expected to continue this time as well. It is still unclear whether Switch titles using backward compatibility on the new hardware will be showcased.

Besides Mario Kart 9, fans hope to get a glimpse of the new 3D Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, or Metroid Prime 4 (if it is a cross-gen title). Rumors are also circulating about possible third-party ports or exclusives that take advantage of the enhanced Switch 2 capabilities, but Nintendo has not revealed any details yet.

Dates and Times of the Streams:

  • April 3, 2025 – 7:00 PT / 10:00 ET / 3:00 PM BST / 4:00 PM CEST
  • April 4, 2025 – 7:00 PT / 10:00 ET / 3:00 PM BST / 4:00 PM CEST
